With the grant, the program empowered 15 young girls to use art as a tool to fight against gender-based violence and advocate for gender equality. The activities conducted by the young girls included a football match, drama, and stage performances that promoted open dialogue on gender-based violence. The grant also supported a capacity-building workshop that enhanced the girls’ creative and leadership skills, equipping them with tools to advocate for their rights.

Through these activities, the girls reached over 1,500 community members, including 20 people with disabilities. The activities also helped in building confidence, leadership skills, and resilience in the girls, encouraging them to take charge in driving change in their communities.
