The Hummingbird Grassroots centre used the funds to launch a website for young women and girls with disabilities, expand social media outreach, and purchase a laptop to support the organizations office operations. This boosted the organization’s visibility which resulted to the organization further securing an additional funding, which enabled them to host the National Young Women with Disabilities Conference in Kenya. The grant further supported the organization to participate in the 16 Days of Activism campaign whose aim was to raise awareness about disability challenges and promote inclusion. These efforts have empowered the community and created a foundation for future opportunities for the organization.
