Macho kwa Jamii

With the grant, Macho kwa Jamii launched the Binti Songa Mbele project, which empowered young women through training in agriculture, poultry farming, and entrepreneurship to help them establish sustainable businesses. Macho kwa Jamii conducted introductory seminars on reproductive health, entrepreneurship, and personal empowerment, reaching 20 women who later initiated a joint vegetable garden and local chicken farming initiative. The participants received hands-on training from experts on poultry care and vegetable cultivation, with the funds supporting infrastructure development, training, and procurement of supplies. Despite challenges such as inconsistent water supply and limited volunteer support, the project has made steady progress, achieving 45% of its targets, and the organisation is dedicated to expanding the initiative with continued support.
